The gymnastics palace named after Irina Viner-Usmanova is a sports facility in Moscow on the territory of the Luzhniki Olympic complex.

Started date of construction works: May 2017. Finished: June 2019. Capacity: 3965 seats.

The billionaire Alisher Usmanov was the main investor in the construction of that gorgeous building. The sports complex was named after his wife, rhythmic gymnastics coach Irina Viner-Usmanova.

The building is arranged on area of 23.5 thousand m² (with 5 above ground and 1 underground floor) and a glazed facade with a height of 25-26 meters.

The main part of the building is occupied by an arena (54 × 36 meters in size) with transforming-stands (for 1072 spectators) and stationary ones (for 2893 people).

In the configuration for training sessions, the arena accommodates up to 150 people (in the competition mode – 250 athletes and almost 4000 spectators); with the installation of a collapsible scene during cultural events: up to 2500 visitors.

A roof of complex geometry was designed, similar in shape to a fluttering gymnastic ribbon, equipped with drainage and lightning protection systems.

On the ground floor of this magnificent facility are provided: 3 training rooms, changing rooms for athletes, coaching and judging rooms, saunas, a dining room and a buffet.

On the 2nd floor there are: a spectator area with a buffet, 2 choreographic halls, a gym and a medical rehabilitation center.

3rd floor is occupied by: a press center with a hall for 150 people, commentators, a press bar and workshops.

From the 4th floor, an entrance to the the VIP-lodges (for especially important guests) for 80 people is extremely well organized.

June 18, 2019 – the opening date of the sports complex (opened by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin).

The complex also offers a 5-story mini-hotel for athletes, designed for up to 113 people in 39 rooms.
